2. Clawing the ground:

Most runners when they are sprinting, they rely on their heel to push them. This is the wrong method to use. If you really want to use the right technique on how to run faster, you need to understand that by pushing on the ground, your feet is spending too much time on the ground than they need for sprinting. Just claw the ground like a cat clawing the air. Do it hard and fast. In this manner, you minimize the time your feet need to spend on the ground.

3. Holding Your Body Steady and Straight:

Another way on how to run faster depends on how your posture is when you are running.  Sometimes people tend to rock their body sideways thus wasting unnecessary energy and momentum. Most of us don’t realize this as we can’t see ourselves when running. This is a result of bad habits that we developed over the years. Keep your posture steady and straight. Don’t swing your arm sideways when you are running. Try to keep the elbows at a 90 degrees angle when you are sprinting. The elbows should never be straightened but always at a bent position. This ensures that your energy is not wasted through sideways motions.

4. Having a Tunnel Vision:

This is one of the most obvious ways on how to run faster. When you are track, your mind must be clear of everything else. There must not be anything else to distract you. You need to develop what is called a tunnel vision. This meant that all your focus is like looking through a tunnel. You only see the light at the end of the tunnel, your goal post. Everything else becomes a blur. Just look forward and RUN!

5. Push Yourself:

This is another obvious way on how to run faster. Many people lose in a race simply because they stop trying. When you are up ahead in front of the race, you have a psychological advantage. You need to maintain that advantage. The moment you stop trying, you will see your opponents catching up. Thus, don’t ever stop until your reach your goal. hi, im a sprinter and my main race is the 100 meters. im currently in 8th grade. is there any excercises i can do to gain more speed while running?

I’m in the 4th grade and i’ll have to run at least 600 meters(the full race is 21,097Km)the problem is.. i’m starting to have trouble breathing when i ran 587 meters what should i do?

P.s. I have a special running technique that allows me to run 5 seconds faster but THAT still doesn’t help me

Hi, I’m in year 8 at the moment and I’ve got a races coming up in a few weeks. There’s a 80m, 150m and 400m. Do you have any more tips of how to run because I just go everywhere and can’t concentrate.
